Caramilk chocolate blocks get extreme mark-up across the ditch

Cadbury Caramilk is cannot be bought in Australian supermarkets and is fetching top dollar on eBay.

Australians are asking top dollar for Cadbury's limited-release Caramilk blocks, with one eBay auction asking as high as NZ$32 per block for the in-demand treat.

Caramilk is a New Zealand-only release and limited-edition product, which has been made in New Zealand and is not available in Australia.

But some have seen the dollar signs and put blocks up for sale online.

Caramilk is milk chocolate with a caramelised white chocolate centre.

Out of 10 posts on eBay, one, selling two blocks, has attracted seven bids and up to A$20.50 (NZ$21.90). Another is selling five blocks for A$149 (NZ$158) with free postage.

The 190g chocolate bars are currently available at The Warehouse for $3.

The cheapest blocks on eBay are selling for A$15 for two with free shipping.

Caramilk has been off the market for more than a decade, but was brought back by popular demand, Cadbury said when releasing the chocolate this month.

It is a caramel flavoured white chocolate block.
