Takanini housing development touted as among cheapest in Auckland
A new south Auckland housing development is being promoted as one of the cheapest going.
Takanini's Ninety-Eight complex, featuring 97 sites on Cosgrave Rd, is offering home and land packages starting at $543,276.
The entry level home is 76.6m2 and features two bedrooms, one bathroom, a carport and a courtyard area.
The homes, by developer Noho Group, are being sold by real estate agency Trinity Network.

Trinity Network director Ben Dellabarca says all the houses are freehold and standalone which makes the price "pretty hard to beat".
The first stage of development has 34 sections for sale with homes expected to be built within the next 12 to 18 months.
"The land prices start from $290,500 which makes it highly affordable for those looking to get into the property market.
"It is a great alternative to buying an apartment and strikes the perfect balance between higher density living and still owning your own land," he says.
Dellabarca says architectural planning is a big factor in keeping the price down.
It allows for "really useable spaces in a relatively condensed section sizes".
