Chickpea paste for breakfast? Yum

Why not crack open a can of chickpeas for breakfast? Delicious and nutritious.

I've concocted a chickpea breakfast that gets me some very strange looks, but everyone who tries it loves it.

I call it "breakfast paste", and it's healthy, filling, transportable, economical and delicious.

Here is the basic recipe:
* 1/2 a 400g can of chickpeas (or cannellini beans), drained and rinsed
* 1/2 a cup of rolled oats
* 1 large, ripe banana
* 2 tablespoons of peanut butter

Throw everything into a food processor and whiz until smooth. Store in an airtight container until needed (I once left some in the fridge for two days and it was fine).

You can play around with flavours as much as you like from there. I've added various combinations of ingredients, including: cocoa, spices, vanilla, flavourings, different nut butters and maple syrup/honey.
