Phallic-shaped feijoa has Pokeno household in giggles

Fancy a feijoa, anyone?

A phallic-shaped piece of fruit is causing quite a stir in a Waikato household.

Jesse Faulkner struck gold when he picked a rather interesting-looking feijoa from a tree on his Pokeno property on Friday afternoon.

He said this feijoa was an oddity, the rest of the crop had been "pretty normal".

Faulkner said he was "pretty happy" with his find.

Faulkner said it gave him a giggle: "I was pretty happy about it".

The feijoa measures roughly eight to 10 centimetres in length, "centimetres, not inches," Faulkner joked.

When asked what he planned to do with the fruit, the answer was either eat it, or frame it.

"It deserves a spot on the fridge," he said.

There must be something in the water in the Waikato, this feijoa follows a 420g whopper found in Hamilton on Wednesday.
