Justin Bieber keeps a low profile during Kiwi trip (Video)

Justin Bieber at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday.

Where was Justin Bieber? The pop prince who was notorious for his rock'n'roll-style life kept it quiet in New Zealand this weekend.

His most extreme antic; well, he rode in a rickshaw through Auckland City.

Bieber's no stranger to New Zealand. He toured in 2010, 2013 and visited for a radio station promotion in 2015. For that matter, he's no stranger to any country. His tours are as all encompassing as pop gets.

There's no such thing as a relaxed lunch in Sydney with your friends when you're Justin Bieber.

Wherever he goes, Bieber usually causes a stir.

Justin Bieber tells fan 'you make me sick!'

Bieber arrived only hours before his Auckland show, then he headed straight to Queenstown.

In Australia, Bieber told a fan "you make me sick". He then partied with "hand-picked models" who had signed nondisclosure agreements on a boat in Melbourne, The Daily Telegraph reported.

The Beebs had earlier courted controversy by swearing at a cameraman as he relaxed on Richard Branson's private island on the Sunshine Coast. He said it was all an Australian-themed joke.

Then Bieber got to New Zealand, and... silence.

His band mates and touring cast were rumoured to be partying at a swanky Britomart bar. While they danced behind a red velvet rope, Bieber looked to have called it a night after his Saturday concert.

In a Snapchat video, Bieber sung karaoke as he hailed a rickshaw from Auckland's Viaduct. It was only 11.30pm, Murray the rickshaw driver, told 1News.

Remember last time he was here?

There were allegations of graffiti at an Auckland skate park before his 2013 show. During his 2010 visit, the 16-year-old got upset after some Hamilton girls stole his hat.

This time around, Bieber spent his downtime in Queenstown. He was reportedly staying at The Hills. It's a fancy retreat near the resort town – very quaint, very exclusive and a long way from his days spent skating and painting in Auckland.

In fact, it was in and out for Bieber in Auckland. Newshub reported he arrived on Saturday evening, he was gone the next day.

Bieber's newfound low profile kept the hype in bay.

Only a few hardy fans spent the hours, if not days, required to see him at the airport.

During his earlier tours, towns were reported to fall into "Biebermania" at his arrival. His legions of fans would clamber to the hotels and airports. Screams and squeals erupted through streets.

His latest appearance showed those days were no more.
